Professor in the Department of Genetics, Evolution, Microbiology and Immunology at the Institute of Biology at UNICAMP. She holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of São Carlos (2005), a master's degree in Animal Biology from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (2008), and a doctorate in Ecology and Evolution from the Universidad Austral de Chile (2012). She was a Young Talent scholarship holder with a postdoctoral degree from the Science without Borders Program at USP (Ribeirão Preto campus). She has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Ecology, but currently her work focuses on molecular evolution of mammals, evolution of gene families, Genomics and Comparative Genomics, mainly focusing on aquatic mammals.
