Pablo Emanuel Romero Almada

Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for the Study of Violence at the University of São Paulo (NEV/USP), with a FAPESP scholarship from the CEPID "Building Democracy Daily: Human Rights, Violence, and Institutional Trust". Visiting Scholar at the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center at Florida International University (FIU). Permanent faculty member of the Graduate Program in Social Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences and Letters of Araraquara, São Paulo State University Julio de Mesquita Filho (PPGCS/FCLAR/UNESP), in the research line "Culture, Democracy, and Social Thought". Completed a Postdoctoral fellowship at PPGCS/FCLAR/UNESP (2019-2021), with a PNPD/CAPES scholarship. Holds a PhD in Democracy in the 21st Century from the Center for Social Studies/Faculty of Economics at the University of Coimbra (CES-FEUC) (2009-2015), with the degree validated by USP (2016), and was a visiting researcher at UNICAMP and the University of Barcelona. Master's degree in Sociology: Labor Relations, Social Inequalities, and Unionism from the Faculty of Economics - University of Coimbra (FEUC) (2007-2009), with the degree validated by UNICAMP (2012), and was a visiting researcher at PPGCS/FCLAR/UNESP (2008). Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences - Bachelor of Sociology, from UNICAMP (2003-2007), having conducted Scientific Initiation with FAPESP and CNPq. Has taught at the following universities: UEL, UFSC, and UNESP. Has experience in the fields of Sociology and Political Science, with an emphasis on Sociology, working mainly on the following topics: Sociological Theory, Sociology of Work, Historical Sociology, Methodology of Qualitative Research, Brazilian Social Thought, Political Thought.
