DIRCEU COSTA, currently an independent senior researcher, graduated in: Physiotherapy, from PUCAMP in 1978, Pedagogical Complementation, from ASPEC, in 1979 and, in Physical Education, from PUCAMP, in 1974. Master's degree in Morphology, from FOP-UNICAMP, in 1984, PhD in Biological Sciences (Anatomy), by UNESP-Botucatú, in 1990, Specialization in Respiratory Physiotherapy, by Assobrafir, in 1998 and, Internship-Post-doctoral Visit at the Katholic University of Leuven-BE, in 2003. He was professor of Education Physics in High School from 1975 to 1981; of Graduation in Physical Therapy: at PUCAMP, from 1978 to 1981; at UFSCar from 1981 to 2003; at UNIMEP from 2003 to 2008 and at UNINOVE from 2008 to 2022 and, stricto sensu post-graduation at UFSCar, from 1997 to 2003, at UNIMEP from 2003 to 2008 and at UNINOVE from 2008 to 2022. At UFSCar he was Course Coordinator of Graduation in Physical Therapy, from 1984 and 1985; Deputy Director of the Center for Biological and Health Sciences (CCBS), from 1986 to 1990; Coordinator of Research and Teacher Training at the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, from 1991 to 1997; Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator of the PPG-Ft (Masters and Doctorate), from 1996 to 2003. He participated as a member of the Area Committee at CAPES, from 1998 to 2000 and was an Area Representative, by invitation, at CNPq, from 2001 to 2003; was President of the Brazilian Association of Respiratory Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy in Intensive Care (ASSOBRAFIR), 2005-2006. Has experience in the field of Physiotherapy, with emphasis on Respiratory Physiotherapy, and develops research in the Line of Evaluation and Intervention in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy, with emphasis on themes involving: Pulmonary Rehabilitation; Respiratory Functional Assessment; Respiratory Muscle Training, Spirometry, EMG, among others. Author of the book Basic Respiratory Physiotherapy; 4 Book Chapters and more than 150 scientific articles published in national and international indexed scientific journals. He supervised more than a hundred scientific works, including Master's, Doctorate, Postdoctoral, IC, Ap., Esp., etc. He participated in several Work Commissions, Dissertation and Theses Boards and Public Tenders. It has organized several Scientific Events, including the XI International Symposium on Respiratory Physiotherapy (SIFIR); 1st and 3rd National Forum for Research and Graduate Studies in Physiotherapy and several annual meetings of CAPES Area 21 PPG coordinators. He was Coordinator of Area 21de (Physical Education, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy) at CAPES, management 2007/2011 and, president of the Brazilian Association of Research and Postgraduate Studies in Physiotherapy (ABRAPG-Ft) in the managements of 12-2014 and 2014 -2016 (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
