Graduated and Bachelor of Physics from Mackenzie University (1978), Masters in Astrophysics (1982) and PhD in Astrophysics by the National Institute for Space Research-INPE (1990). It is a senior researcher, faculty member and head of the Solar Physics Research line at Astrophysics Division of INPE. He has experience in astronomy, with emphasis on Heliophysics, acting on the following topics: modeling of solar flares in complex inhomogeneous environments diagnoses in various wavelengths, quiescent solar atmosphere, instrumentation in radio astronomy, magnetic cataclysmic variables models and predictive models for space weather. He is currently manager of Research, Development and Innovation of the Embrace program (Brazilian Studies and Monitoring of Space Weather). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
