Graduated in Veterinary Medicine at Federal University of Lavras (2002), Master in Animal Pathology (2004) and Ph.D. in Preventive Veterinary Medicine (2008) in Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (FCAV-UNESP, Jaboticabal). Currently is professor at University of São Paulo and has experience in development and application of molecular and serological diagnosis methods for parasitic diseases in animals, especially leishmaniasis.
