Bachelor's at Pharmacy and Odontology from Universidade de São Paulo (1953) and Doctorate at Oral Pathology at the University of Campinas (1964). Post-doc at the University of Freiburg (Germany)(1970/1972) and Michigan Cancer Foundation (Detroit, USA)(1985). Visiting professor at the University of Vien (Austria, 1991), Technical University of Munich (1991 and 1992), Autonomous University of Madrid (1992) and visiting cientist at the Fox Chase Cancer Center (Philadelphia, USA)(1997). Currently, he is Emeritus Professor at the University of Campinas. He has experience in Morphology and Biophysics, acting on the following subjects: optical anisotropies, collagen (from molecular approaches to medical applications), tendons, image analysis and topochemistry. He has also experience in Chromatin studies (image analysis and infrared microspectroscopy). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
