Professor of Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition of the Department of Soil Science at the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, from University of Sao Paulo. Agronomist, Master and PhD degrees obtained from ESALQ/USP, with a visiting period at the University of Illinois working with Prof. Richard L. Mulvaney. Obtained a post-doctoral degree from Center for Nuclear and Energy in Agriculture. Teach the course Fertilizers and Fertilization in the undergraduate and graduate courses, and advise students in the master, PhD and Post-doc levels. Supervisor of the Research and Extension Support Team (GAPE) and scientific coordinator of the Cooperative Program of Research and Management (PCEM) inside sugarcane bioenergy units. My research interest includes development of nitrogen fertilizers with addition of micronutrients and nanomaterials, nitrogen management for sugarcane production, and the usage of nanomaterials for plant nutrition.
