Passionate scientist dedicated to solving problems and answering questions using Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2016) with a sandwich program in Human Biology at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, USA. Since my first year of undergraduate studies (2012), I have been involved in academic research at Professor Dr. Carlos Frederico Martins Menck's DNA repair laboratory. I also interned at the Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Bennet Van Houten. Currently (2023), I am completing my Ph.D. in Sciences at the Department of Microbiology, at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo, studying the role of DNA repair in neurodegenerative diseases and premature aging. I have experience in cell line culture, vector cloning, and the establishment of genetically modified cell lines (modification using lentiviruses and CRISPR), gene expression assessment techniques (microscopy, western blot, qPCR), as well as molecular biology techniques (PCR, cloning, vector production, etc.).
