I received my MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering respectively from Mackenzie University in 2002 and São Paulo University in 2009. Currently, I am a Full Professor at a private higher education institution in Brazil on the Graduate Program of Informatics where I advise masters and doctoral students. In addition, I am an Associate Researcher at a Signal Processing Group of a public higher education institution at São Paulo state, Brazil. In 2016 I started receiving the Scholarship of Productivity in Technological Development and Innovative Extension (Level 2) from CNPq - National Council for Scientific and Technological Development. My research activities also include reviewing articles from scientific journals such as Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, International Journal of Metaheuristics, International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Journal of Engineering Science Technology, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, Measurement, IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, IEEE Instrumentation Measurement Magazine, IEEE Access e Exacta. I have also contributed to Technical Program and Scientific Committees of national and international conferences from the areas of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. My research areas include: Image Processing and Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Metaheuristics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
