Beatriz de Faria Leao

Beatriz de Faria Leão, MD (UFGRS 1977), PhD in Medicine (UNIFESP 1988) with a Post-Doctorate in Health Informatics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands (1989-1990). She has worked in the area of #8203;#8203;Health Informatics since 1980. She founded the Brazilian Society of Health Informatics in 1986 and was president for four terms. Founding member of the International Academy of Health Informatics Sciences, 2017. Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Informatics of UFGRS (1994-1996), Adjunct Professor at the Department of Health Informatics, UNIFESP (1996-1998). Beatriz combines academic experience in government and the private sector. Beatriz has worked in the Innovation Portfolio of the Social Commitment Board at the Sírio-Libanês Hospital in São Paulo since 2014. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
