He graduated in Agronomic Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (Campus Garanhuns | current UFAPE), with a specialization in Soil Microbial Genetics and Biotechnology (2012). He is a Master (2014), Doctor (2018) and Post-Doctor (2018-2019) in Soils and Plant Nutrition from the 'Luiz de Queiroz' College of Agriculture, University of São Paulo. During his PhD, he carried out a research internship at the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment, University of Western Sydney, Australia (2018). He is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Soil Science at the Federal University of Ceará (2019/current), Permanent Professor (2020/current) and Vice-Coordinator (2021/current) of the Postgraduate Program in Soil Science at the same university, where he conducts activities with GEMBioS: Group of studies on Soil Microbiology and Biotechnology. He is member of the Brazilian Society of Soil Science (SBCS) and Microbiology (SBM), where he works as Coordinator of the Division of Soil Processes and Properties in the Northeast region of Brazil (2020/current) and Coordinates the Soil Microbiology Area ( 2021/current), respectively. He has experience in Agronomy (Soil Science), with an emphasis on Soil Microbiology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology. Currently, he has dedicated efforts to the study of microbiomes in soils of the Brazilian semi-arid region, with emphasis on the influence of the desertification process of the Caatinga biome on soil health.
