Dora Souza Dias has a PHD in Design History awarded by the University of Brighton, UK, as well as an MRes and BArch awarded by the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP), Brazil. She worked as a professional graphic designer before starting her postgraduate studies at FAU-USP, having acquired extensive practical experience in the design of books and magazines. Her practice as a lecturer currently focuses on the practice of graphic design and visual communication, while her research focuses on the history of professional practice of design as well as design education.
