Luiz Gustavo Oliveira Brito is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (DTG) at the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM) of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and a Full Advisor for the Graduate Program (rated 7 by CAPES-Medicine III) since 2016. He was also a Professor in the Medical Program at the University of Ribeirão Preto (UNAERP). He completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Womens Hospital. He undertook his residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics and earned his Masters, Doctorate, and Habilitation degrees at FMRP-USP, where he served as a Full Advisor for the Graduate Program in Gynecology and Obstetrics (rated 7 by CAPES-Medicine III) from 2012 to 2019. He is a former President of the Brazilian Association of Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor (UROGINAP-BR) for the 20212023 term. He was the Chair of the Publications Committee and the Chair of the Urogynecology and Vaginal Surgery Special Interest Group of the American Association for Gynecological Laparoscopists (AAGL). He also served on the International Advisory Board (IAB) for Latin America and the Caribbean of the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA). Currently, he is the Vice President of the National Commission on Urogynecology and Vaginal Surgery of FEBRASGO. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of ALAPP (Latin American Pelvic Floor Association).Dr. Brito has published 231 articles, 250 abstracts, 18 book chapters, and 3 books. He is an Associate Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics (RBGO) and a member of the Editorial Board of the *Journal of Sexual Medicine*. He has reviewed for more than 60 national and international journals (IUJO, AJOG, BJOG, EJOGRB, UOG, *Reproductive Sciences*, *Journal of Womens Health*, FPMRS) and for projects funded by national research agencies (FAPESP, CNPq), reviewing over 250 articles for these journals. He has participated in over 150 graduate evaluation panels (both lato and stricto sensu) to date. His current research focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding associated with Uterine Leiomyoma, Gynecological Surgery, and Urogynecological dysfunctions.
