Undergraduation in Veterinary Medicine from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - Botucatu Campus, with completion in 2004. Residency in food sanitary inspection at FMVZ UNESP Botucatu for 2 years, completed in March 2007. Master's degree in food inspection focused on food microbiology from FMVZ UNESP Botucatu under the supervision of Prof. Dr. José Paes de Almeida Nogueira Pinto. Doctorate in Preventive Veterinary Medicine from FMVZ UNESP Botucatu under the supervision of Prof. Adj. João Pessoa Araujo Jr., working on food inspection, food safety, and molecular techniques. Substitute professor at UNESP - Botucatu in the area of Inspection of Animal Origin Products during the second semester of 2012. Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Biosciences under the supervision of Prof. Adj. João Pessoa Araujo Jr. Collaborating professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FMVZ) - UNESP Botucatu (2014-2015). Trained at the University of Florida - UF, Gainesville, Florida, USA, from November 2022 to October 2024 (CAPES-PRINT scholarship - Institutional Internationalization Program, CAPES). Currently a professor at the Federal University of Viçosa, in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, and a researcher in the areas of microbiology of animal-origin foods, molecular biology related to bacterial pathogens, and food safety.
