Has a bachelor's degree in chemistry and Master's in Physical-Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry of the Federal University of Uberlandia. Has Ph. D in science with emphasis in Physical Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry of the Federal University of São Carlos. During his Ph.D degree, he had an opportunity to visit the Department of Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Houston (UH) Houston, USA, supervised by Prof. Dr. James M. Briggs as a Ph.D student. Also, during his Post-doctoral studies, he went back to UH as Ph.D student in the same department. Has expertise in computational simulation combining experimental evidences with theoretical approaches. Has national and international cooperation with several experimental and theoretical groups. Currently, he is an Adjunct professor at the Institute of Chemistry of the Federal University of Uberlandia.
