Birthplace: Brazil

Direct PhD student on Functional and Molecular Biology at State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), under supervision of Dr. Fabio Squina. BSc. Biology (2016) with sandwich period (2015-2016) at the University of York (UK) sponsored by Science Without Borders program. Current project involves metabolic engineering of microorganisms for lignin valorization. Past projects involve bioprospecction of enzymes from filamentous fungi of biotechnological interest (University of York, supervised by Prof. Simon McQueen-Mason) and molecular characterization of sugarcane genes (UNICAMP, supervised by Prof. Marcelo Menossi Teixeira). Has experience in molecular biology, bioprospecction of enzymes, microbiology of filamentous fungi and prokaryotes, plant genetics. Areas of interest: biotechnology; metabolic engineering; bioenergy; lignin; genetic improvement; enzymology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
