Current project involves metabolic engineering of microorganisms for lignin valorization. Past projects involve bioprospecction of enzymes from filamentous fungi of biotechnological interest (University of York, supervised by Prof. Simon McQueen-Mason) and molecular characterization of sugarcane genes (UNICAMP, supervised by Prof. Marcelo Menossi Teixeira). Has experience in molecular biology, bioprospecction of enzymes, microbiology of filamentous fungi and prokaryotes, plant genetics.
