PhD in Theory, Creation, and Practice from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Masters in Musical Composition from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), and Bachelors in Music from the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPEL). Member of the Brazilian Association for Music Education (ABEM) and the national section of the Latin American Forum for Music Education (FLADEM). Serves on the scientific committee and editorial board of FLADEM Brasil journal. Awarded through the Gaúcho Researcher Program and received a recent Ph.D. graduate fellowship from FAPERGS. Visiting researcher at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (Germany) through the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD). Former doctoral fellow of FAPESP and masters fellow of CAPES. Leads the Study Group on Creativity in Music, a transdisciplinary and interinstitutional team of researchers and students from fields including Music, Anthropology/Archeology, History, Arts, Communication, Social Memory, Pedagogy, Literature, and Psychology at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) and the Federal University of Pampa (UNIPAMPA) (Research Group Website: https://criatividademusical.furg.br/pt-br/). Has delivered numerous lectures and workshops on musical creativity at scientific and educational events in Brazil, Argentina, Ireland, Costa Rica, Peru, Chile, Germany, and China. Has published scientific articles in national and international journals in the fields of music, psychology, arts, history, and literature. Served as an ad hoc reviewer for leading journals in music and psychology, including Psychology of Music (Q1), OPUS (Q1), BMC Psychology (Q1), and Expressa Extensão (CAPES Qualis B2). Has dozens of publications, including articles, books, conference proceedings, and book chapters.In his artistic work, he has performed extensively as an instrumentalist, composer, and conductor, premiering works for symphony orchestra, concert band, big band, guitar, piano, and various chamber ensembles. Several of his compositions have been performed by prominent ensembles in Brazil, including the Federal University of Bahia Symphony Orchestra (BA), University of Campinas Symphony Orchestra (SP), Symphonic Band of the Dramatic and Musical Conservatory of Tatuí (SP), Federal University of Rio Grande Big Band (RS), and Novo Hamburgo Wind Orchestra (RS). He also won the First National Composition Competition for Concert Band at the Dramatic and Musical Conservatory of Tatuí and the First International Music Festival of Novo Hamburgo. His performance experience spans a wide array of genres, including dance bands, reggae, rock, jazz, pagode, bossa nova, choro, carnival, and traditional Gaúcho music, as well as solo performances with symphony orchestras and in various chamber groups. Currently, he is affiliated with the Federal University of Rio Grande, where he serves as the coordinator, arranger, composer, and conductor of the FURG Big Band. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
