Birthplace: Brazil

Vinícius Jardim is a biologist and Ph.D. student in bioinformatics with experience in data analysis, based on systems theory. At the undergraduate level, he earned experience in studies on the development and metabolism of carbohydrates of agroeconomic interest (sorghum and sugar cane) and data analysis, using the network theory. During the master's degree, he developed a tool for comparing correlation networks, finding important patterns in plant and human biological systems. This tool can be used in data from several areas of science, having applications in demographic data of the city of São Paulo. In his doctorate he studies the development of a methodology, based and graph signal processing, that looks for key genes in the formation of triple-negative breast cancers tumor cells, a type of breast cancer still without specific treatment. Has expertise in the field of Bioinformatics, Systems Biology and Biotechnology and application of network theory, to understand plant systems with agroeconomic importance and human tumor systems.
