Pharmacist (2011) and Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2013) from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), with a Ph.D. in Pathophysiology (2017) from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of São Paulo (USP). During her doctoral studies, she completed a sandwich program at the renowned Westerdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute in the Netherlands, in partnership with Thermo Fisher, contributing to the development of proteomics technologies.She pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in Infectious Diseases at UNIFESP (20182019), where she excelled in pioneering studies in Brazil on the emerging pathogen Candida auris. During this period, she also taught specialized courses for medical residents in Infectious Diseases and laboratory professionals.Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD) and a mentor in the Graduate Program in Health Sciences, where she leads research on the pathophysiology of emerging pathogens, drug prospecting and repositioning, and the use of invertebrate models to investigate host-pathogen interactions. A member of the International Society of Human and Animal Mycology (ISHAM), she is dedicated to scientific outreach and coordinating projects that integrate technology and health, consistently seeking innovative solutions to combat infectious diseases.
