I hold a bachelor's, a master's, a doctorate and a lecturer's degree in law. I am an associate professor at the University of São Paulo Law School (Department of Philosophy and Sociology of Law) and a lawyer. I was a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law (Germany), at the Center for Latin American Studies at the American University in Washington-DC (USA), and at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies at Oxford University (UK). I run of the Center for Studies on Freedom of Expression (CELEX) at USP's Law School. I write regular opinion texts for Piauí magazine.
