Graduated with a degree in Chemistry (Licentiate and Bachelor) from the Federal University of Uberlândia (2010). Completed a Master's degree in Chemistry at the University of São Paulo (2011-2013) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the same institution (2013-2017). During his doctoral studies, Vitor undertook a 12-month research internship abroad at the University of North Texas, USA, (2015-2016) as a BEPE-FAPESP fellow. Subsequently, he pursued a postdoctoral position at the State University of Campinas (2017-2021) as a FAPESP fellow. Vitor served as a research associate at Montana State University, USA, (2022-2024) funded by The National Institutes of Health (NIH). Vitor's research focus is in Chemistry, specifically Computational Chemistry, where he primarily engages in modeling reactions using electronic structure calculations to elucidate the chemo-, regio-, and stereoselectivity of transition metal-catalyzed reactions.
