Birthplace: Brazil

I am a community ecologist interested in advancing our understanding of how biodiversity and large scale metacommunity dynamics persist in the face of environmental change. My most recent ongoing research has focused on investigating how temporal stability propagates from populations to metacommunities and what factors may mediate such spatial scaling. My long-term research goal is to better bridge basic and applied community ecology to improve our predictive ability of freshwater biodiversity dynamics under anthropogenic pressure. I am a tenured professor at the Department of Ecology in the São Paulo State University (UNESP, Brazil). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
