Between 2003 and 2004 stayed as a Visiting Academic at the Australian National University in Canberra. From September 2017 and February 2018: posdoc at University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands). From March and July 2018: posdoc at Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil). Has experience in Linguistics, focusing on the following subjects: sociolinguistics, grammaticalization, construction grammar, clause combining and sign language linguistics. Head of the Department of Linguistics, Literature and Classics. Vice-director - Graduate Program in Linguistics and Portuguese. Mother of a son born in 2010, enjoyed a maternity leave of 180 days, established by Law 11.770 of September 09, 2008, between November 2010 and April 2011, and is activist in the cause of Women in Science.
