Graduated in Biological Sciences at Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP, 2013), obtained a MSc degree in Ecology (2016) at UNICAMP and a dual-degree PhD at Wageningen University and Research (Netherlands) and KU Leuven (Belgium). During his PhD, focused on better understanding turning points in dryland ecosystem functioning by using remote sensing techniques, field data and dynamic vegetation models. During the MSc programme, studied the role of fire and resource availability on the savanna-forest transition dynamics, in a multi-scale perspective. Has experience in ecology, remote sensing, and wide experience with field work. Has interest in ecosystem ecology, functional ecology, fire ecology, Cerrado ecology, savanna ecology, alternative stable states and remote sensing. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
