Vanessa Dias Moretti holds a PhD in Education from the Faculty of Education, University of São Paulo (Science and Mathematics Teaching), and a post-doctoral degree in Mathematics Education from Laurentian University (Canada). She holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of São Paulo. Visiting Professor at Laurentian University (2019-2020). Associate Professor at the Federal University of São Paulo - UNIFESP and accredited professor of the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE-Unifesp), guiding master's and doctoral degrees. She was General Coordinator of the Pedagogical Residency Program of UNIFESP between 2017 and 2019. She currently coordinates the GT07 - Training of Teachers who Teach Mathematics, of the Brazilian Society of Mathematics Education (SBEM), having been the adjunct coordinator of the same GT in the management (2018-2021). Researcher of the Group of Studies and Research on Pedagogical Activity - GEPAPe/USP - and leader of the Group of Studies and Research in Educational Processes and Cultural Historical Perspective - GEPPEDH at Unifesp. She develops research in Mathematics Education focusing especially on initial and continuing education of teachers who teach mathematics, learning to teach, teaching activity, cultural-historical theory, and objectification theory.
