I am graduated in BSc. (Biology) from Universidad de La Habana (1999) and PhD. in Cell and Molecular Biology, and Neuroscience from Universidad de Chile (2012). I have experience in Microbiology, with focus on Biochemistry and Physiology of the Microorganisms.
I am mainly interested in the understanding of the logic of functioning of the metabolic reactions networks and their evolutionary origins.
I have experimental background studying the bacterium Escherichia coli, mainly physiology, enzyme kinetics, genetic manipulations and metabolic fluxes estimation. I am interested in the study of the architecture and functioning of the central metabolic pathways in E. coli and Pseudomonas putida. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
