PhD student in genetics and molecular biology at UNICAMP. For six years he has been developing projects at the Aging Biology Laboratory under the guidance of Dr. Marcelo Alves da Silva Mori. He studied the regulation of Dicer protein expression and the impact of this protein in determining the functional identity of adipocytes. Currently he is studying the communication between tissues and the epigenetic changes that occurs in the context of caloric restriction in C. elegans. Has experience in Biochemistry, with emphasis on Molecular Biology, acting on the following topics: Dicer, adipocytes, miRNAs, aging and caloric restriction. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
