Andreia Alexandra Machado Miranda

I am a nutritionist with an international academic background and a degree validated by the University of São Paulo (USP). I hold a Bachelor's in Nutrition Sciences and a Master's in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Porto, and I completed my PhD and postdoctoral fellowships at USP in Public Health Nutrition.With over 10 years of experience, I work in public health, nutritional epidemiology, dietary assessment, chronic disease research, physical activity, and biostatistics, with expertise in large epidemiological databases and proficiency in STATA, SPSS, and R. I have also expanded my work into clinical research, deepening my understanding of methodological and regulatory principles.I have worked as a university professor, teaching undergraduate nutrition courses using active learning methods. I also coordinated extension activities, supervised theses, and guided clinical and social nutrition internships.Currently, I conduct research on health inequities, focusing on chronic diseases and physical activity, and collaborate with international teams at USP, the University of Birmingham, and the University of Illinois.
