Bachelor and master?s in physics by the São Carlos Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo (Brazil) with a physics PhD by the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics of the University of Campinas (Brazil). Currently works at the Engineering and Technology Division of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), working on the development of electromagnetic devices for the Sirius synchrotron light source accelerator, with a focus on permanent magnet-based insertion devices. Has experience in condensed matter physics, including ceramic materials, extreme pressures using diamond anvil cells, magnetism and superconductivity, materials characterization by x-ray diffraction and absorption, and simulation of superconducting/magnetic materials via density functional theory.
