Fung Global Fellow, Princeton University (2016-2017); Fellow, Summer Program in Social Science, Institute for Advanced Study (IAS-Princeton, 2015-2017). He holds an Associate Professorship in Economics and International Relations at the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP), is the secretary of the research committee on International Political Economy (IPE) of the International Political Science Association (IPSA), and also teaches at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and at the Rio Branco Integrated College (FIRB). His research interests fall in the fields of politics and sociology, with a focus on political economy (domestic and international, covering topics related to the emerging powers and intergovernmental organizations, in particular multilateral development banks), foreign policy and issues related to identity and nationalism (racial relations in Brazil and the United States and religion and castes in India). Before being in academia, Dr. Rodrigues Vieira worked as professional journalist and regularly writes open-eds for UOL, the largest Brazilian webportal. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
