Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from theUniversidade Federal do Pampa (UNIPAMPA) and earned both a Masters and a Doctorate in Sciences with an emphasis in Entomology from the Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto - Universidade de São Paulo (FFCLRP-USP). Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (UESC). I collaborate on updating Nepoidea data for the Taxonomic Catalog of the Brazilian Fauna. My research focuses on three main areas: (1) taxonomy, systematics, biogeography, and population genetics of water bugs (Belostomatidae), (2) the diversity and distribution of aquatic and semiaquatic heteropterans in northeastern Brazil, and (3) evolution and morphological diversification in aquatic insects and bats. I employ integrative phylogenetic methods and Geometric Morphometrics techniques to study evolutionary patterns and diversification in aquatic insects, and more recently, in bats.
