MSc. (2015) and PhD. (2019) in Hydraulic and Sanitation Engineering at the São Carlos School of Engineering, University of São Paulo (EESC-USP). Graduated in Environmental Engineering (2010) at the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI). Specialist in Occupational Safety Engineering at Candido Mendes University (2015). He completed a pre-doctoral research stay (2017-2018) at Institute of Chemical Environmental Engineering, University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), Spain, funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). He is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo (IQSC-USP) in collaboration with the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) in Barcelona (Spain), developing a project in the field of organic micropollutants biodegradation (pharmaceuticals and personal care products) with a focus on identifying the metabolites formed during anaerobic digestion. He has experience in the following lines of research: biological treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater, anaerobic digestion, biodegradation of emerging contaminants, ecotoxicology, biological removal of nitrogen and phosphorus, post-treatment of anaerobic effluents, biological production of hydrogen and methane.
