PhD Professor at the Department of Technology (AUT) and at the research area ?Habitat? in the Postgrad Program in Architecture and Urbanism (PPG-AU), both of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo (FAUUSP). At FAUUSP he also graduated (1997) and obtained master's degrees in "Environmental and Urban Structures" (2005) and PhD?s degree in "Urban and Regional Planning" (2013). In the master´s research, he dealt with the self-management and self-help housing program in the city of São Paulo; in the PhD, the subject was the instrument of Special Zones of Social Interest (ZEIS), as the main instrument of Urban Reform. He is also a professional of architecture and urbanism and a member of the NGO ?Peabiru - communitarian and environmental works? since 1998, where he has held positions of financial and general coordination. He has been worked, professionally and academically, in plans, designs, research projects and out-reach activities, in subjects related to public policies of social interest housing and precarious settlements, involving surveys and intervention, participatory processes with dwellers and future dwellers, technical assistance to popular movements and organizations and public institutions.
