Full-time research professor at PUC-Campinas. Member of the Mediatized Society research group: processes, technology and language. He was coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Languages, Media and Art (master's degree) at PUC-Campinas from February 2018 to January 2022. He was a visiting professor at the Instituto Politécnico de Bragança in Portugal in 2022, where he taught at the Escola Superior de Educação (ESE) and developed a research project at the Mountain Arts Laboratory. Conducts post-doctoral research at Labô (Politics, Behavior and Media Laboratory) at PUC-SP (2023 - current), being part of the Consumer Culture, Society and Trends research group. PhD in Visual Arts (2013) from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He completed a doctoral internship with a CAPES scholarship (PDEE) at the Cultural Studies department, Goldsmiths College, University of London (2011). He has a master's degree in Arts (UNICAMP, 2008). He has a degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2001) and in Social Communication with emphasis on Advertising from ESPM - Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (1998). He is the author of the book published with support from FAPESP "Digital activism and image: strategies for engagement and network mobilization" (Paco Editorial, 2016). From 2017 to 2020 he was the main coordination of the Digital Networks and Activist Cultures event. He is one of the organizers of the collection "Digital Networks and Activist Cultures" (2022), published in two volumes: "Art, Cities and Activisms" and "Media, Culture and Participation". He is one of the coordinators of the GT Mobility, Networks and Mediations of Coninter (International Interdisciplinary Congress on Social and Humanities). He is a member of the Brazilian Society for Interdisciplinary Communication Studies (Intercom). His latest research projects revolve around the power relations of images in digital social networks. Among the topics covered are media and identity, attention economy, algorithms and power relations. Such themes seek an interrelationship between the areas of Communication and Human Sciences, with special interest in Visual and Digital Culture. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
