This research intends an analysis of masculinity(ies) in the Satyricon, of Petronius, considering the empirical evidence and its relation with gender protocols and literary rules.

This project intends to reflect about the male homosexualities in first century C.E. Collecting the Petronian representations in the Satyricon, this project aims to think these representantions in relation with the specific bibliography. Thus, one seeks to comprehend better both Ancient and Contemporary homosexualities.
