Currently Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at Howard University, Washington DC., USA. She holds a PhD in Science-Psychobiology (2022) from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Visiting Research Fellow (2019-2020) at the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, USA. Master in Science - Psychobiology (2017) from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Graduated in Biological Sciences (2014), from the Federal Institute of São Paulo, Brazil. She served as a teacher in the state network of São Paulo, for the Board of São Roque (2011-2013). She works in the areas of: Neurosciences, Neuropsychopharmacology, Neurobiology of Drug Abuse, Neurophysiology of Pain, Cannabinoid System, Neurobiology of Epilepsy. Current research interests include the role of voltage-gated Ca2+ channels and Ca2+-related signaling in the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of inherited epilepsy, alcohol withdrawal seizures, and prenatal alcohol exposure-related seizures.
