CV Lattes

Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas (ICB)  (Institutional affiliation for the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated as a Chemistry Technician at Colégio Técnico de Lorena - COTEL, where he did a Pre-Scientific Initiation with a Profa. Dra. Marivone Nunho Sousa, studying the use of solid catalysts in biodiesel production, and an internship with Prof. Dr. Hélcio José Izário Filho in the Laboratory of Atomic Absorption, acquiring experience in analytical chemistry techniques. He holds a bachelors degree in Molecular Sciences from the University of São Paulo, where he did a scientific initiation in the DNA Repair Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Carlos Frederico Martins Menck, obtaining experience in cancer, DNA repair and molecular biology techniques. During this time, he did an 3 month internship at the Erasmus Medical Center, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Gijsbertus van der Horst, studying the circadian cycle in cancer. Currently doing PhD in the Microbiology Department of the Biomedical Sciences Institute, University of São Paulo, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Carlos Frederico Martins Menck, studying the mechanisms of tumor resistance to cisplatin, with emphasis on DNA Repair and Circadian Cycle.
