Postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Biochemistry and Immunology at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School (FMRP-USP). Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2023) from the University of Rome Tor Vergata (UTV, Rome, Italy) and Ph.D. in Science (Chemistry, 2024) from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters of Ribeirão Preto (FFCLRP/USP) under a dual-degree program. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (2016) and a Master's degree in Science (Chemistry, 2019) from FFCLRP/USP, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology (2019) from Claretiano Centro Universitário. Completed an exchange program at the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal) during undergraduate studies, supported by the International Exchange Scholarship Program of USP in the Academic Merit category. Currently focuses on the study of fungal extracellular vesicles (EVs) and the role of the "protein corona" formed on the surface of these vesicles in modulating the immune response during fungal infections, exploring their interactions with the human immune system. During the Ph.D., developed an in vitro 3D cell culture model to investigate bone mineralization processes, utilizing a biomimetic extracellular matrix to replicate physiological and pathological conditions. Has extensive experience in biomaterials, tissue engineering, cell biology, biochemistry, and immunology, with a strong emphasis on translational applications for the development of new therapies. Throughout the academic career, received several distinctions, including two honorable mentions at SIICUSP (2015 and 2016), the Bernhard Gross Award at the XVII Brazil MRS Meeting (2018), the Best Poster Award at AUTOORG (2018), the Highlight Award at SPIMF (2019), the Best Poster Award at the "11th International Colloids Conference" (2022), and the Honorary Award for Best Poster Presentation from the Brazilian Biophysics Society (SBBf, 2023).
