Graduated in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Mogi das Cruzes and PhD in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology and Biochemistry) at the Federal University of São Paulo. He is currently Assistant Professor at Sao Paulo State University in the fields of Cell Biology, Histology and Embryology for the Licentiate in Biological Sciences course. He is active in the field of Cellular and Molecular Biology and Mass Spectrometry for the characterization, function and metabolism of proteins and peptides, with a focus on the bioprospecting of these bioactive molecules in marine organisms as well as their participation in environmental changes. In addition, it uses different biological models for the study of the involvement of peptides in neurological and neurodegenerative disorders. It develops extension projects aimed at improving the teaching of science, considering aspects of inclusive education and information and communication technologies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
