Holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the "Luiz de Queiroz" College of Agriculture, University of São Paulo (ESALQ-USP), and a Master's degree in Science from the Graduate Program in Forest Resources at ESALQ-USP. Has experience in the systematics of flowering plants, focusing primarily on Leguminosae. Currently collaborates with researchers in Brazil and abroad on projects utilizing next-generation sequencing (target capture) to construct a phylogeny of the genus Senna, aiming to address taxonomic, biogeographic, and macroevolutionary questions. He is involved in ongoing taxonomic revision studies of Senna ser. Bacillares, Senna ser. Coluteoideae, Senna ser. Laxiflorae, Senna ser. Pictae, and Senna ser. Stipulaceae. Currently a dual Ph.D. candidate in Botany at the National School of Tropical Botany / Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden (Brazil) and in Natural Sciences at the University of Gothenburg (Sweden), with the project "Phylogeny, Biogeography, New Infrageneric Classification of Senna Mill.
