During the Pharmacy Bachelor Degree at Federal University of Alfenas took part of three research projects "Evaluation of chemical profile of White Propolis and its anti-bacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus", "Characterization of Glutatione S-transfarase gene of freshwater copepoda" and "Standardization of a new protocol for DNA extraction from one copepoda specimen". At conclusion of Pharmaceutical Bachelor Degree presented the graduation final research which was carried out at UNICAMP/FCM - Mitochondrial Bioenergetics Laboratory, under Prof. Anibal Eugênio Vercesi advising, named "Simvastatin mitochondrial toxicity: both lactone and acid forms evaluation". Worked in pharmaceutical company field as regulatory documentation analyst and bioequivalence clinical trials monitor. Joined to Cell and Molecular Therapy Center (NUCEL) in University of São Paulo - USP as flow cytometer / cell sorting analyst and in August 2013 began the PhD Degree by Biochemistry Department, Chemistry Institute, at USP, under Prof. Dra. Mari Cleide Sogayar advising. His PhD project was carried out in two stream. The first was aimed at the identification of a human glioblastoma targeted cell-penetrating peptide by using Phage Display and the second relied on the the elucidation of the properties of the protein ENC1 in human glioblastoma cells by Crispr/Cas9 technique. Currently, Mr Túlio Pereira is Medical Science Liaison on Oncology field. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
