Graduated and MSc in Chemical Engineering from the School of Engineering of Lorena (EEL-USP). Has experience in the catalysis area, specially in the sub-areas of photocatalysis and catalysis activated by non-thermal plasma. In the first, he studied the development of a composite between carbon xerogel and several semiconductors (ZnO, TiO2, Nb2O5, Bi2O3, ZnS, g-C3N4) for application in photocatalytic processes of degradation of persistent pollutants using sunlight. Regarding the second sub-area, he studied the oxidation of hydrocarbons under various catalysts (Ag, Pt and Pd) activated by the generation of non-thermal plasma in the reactor bed, aiming to increase the percentage of total oxidation of these hydrocarbons, thus decreasing the generation of monoxides in the process.
