Psychologist (CRP-03/6732 | CRP-06/1494-IS), PhD in Social Psychology from the University of São Paulo (USP), Masters degree in Social and Work Psychology from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), with postgraduate specializations in Analytical Psychotherapy (IJBA) and Public Health (IBPEX). He is the founder and CEO of EduWellTech, a deeptech startup focused on research, development, and innovation in university student mental health, leveraging artificial intelligence and big data. The startup is part of the DNA USP Program and is currently incubated at the Innovation Center of the Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research (CIETEC/IPEN). He is a visiting professor at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), working in the University Community Extension Project Mãos Dadas, which is linked to the Institutional Development Plan (PDI) in coordination with the Rectors Office, the Dean of Affirmative Action and Student Assistance (PROAE), and the Dean of Extension (PROEXT).He is also a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Social Psychology at the Institute of Psychology of USP (IP-USP), and a research fellow at the Otavio Frias Filho Chair for Studies in Communication, Democracy, and Diversity, at the Institute of Advanced Studies at USP (IEA-USP), where he develops research on minority rights and the challenges to contemporary democracy.He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at IP-USP (20192024), funded by FAPESP, serving as a member and deputy coordinator of the Research Group on Psychology and Ethnic-Racial Relations, where he led the study Limits and Possibilities for the Buen Vivir of Black Students in Higher Education Institutions: The Case of USP. He subsequently completed a second postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Energy and Environment of USP (IEE-USP), contributing to the technical team of the Participatory Master Plan revision for the USP Butantã Campus (20242025), with a focus on institutional data analysis and the formulation of guidelines for social interaction, belonging, and student well-being. In his earlier career, he served as academic coordinator and professor of the international program Public Health, Race and Human Rights at SIT Study Abroad (20152016), in Salvador (BA), and as a researcher on the Extension Project for the Prevention of Substance Abuse in School Settings (20112014), a partnership between the UFBA School of Medicine and the Bahia State Department of Education.In civil society, he served on the Regional Council of Psychology of Bahia (CRP-03), where he coordinated the Human Rights Committee (20102016). He is also one of the founding members of the National Network of Black Psychologists and Researchers (ANPSINEP), having coordinated the Northeast region (20142016).
