is an associate professor at Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES). He got his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (INPT-2005) developed at LAAS-CNRS. He worked as a visiting researcher during his sabatical studies at the University of Bristol, UK, in the 2016-2017 academic year, and at the University of Waikato, NZ, from 2023-2024. He has authored papers in leading journals and conferences related to computer networks and network security, also serving as TPC member and chair. Also, he has been very active on computer networks community, e.g. working as general chair of Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (SBRC-2015 http://sbrc2015.ufes.br/eng/ ) and general TPC chair in 2024. His main research interests lie in the field of Computer Networks, particularly in Software-Defined Networks, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence applied to Networks.
