Birthplace: Brazil

He holds a degree in Cartographic Engineering (2001-2005) from the Faculty of Science and Technology at São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (FCT/UNESP) - Presidente Prudente, SP. He completed his Master's (2006-2008) and Ph.D. (2008-2012), both funded by FAPESP, in Cartographic Sciences through the Graduate Program in Cartographic Sciences (currently CAPES rating 6) at FCT/UNESP. He pursued a Postdoctoral Fellowship (2018-2019) at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), São José dos Campos, SP, in the field of Geodesy and Tectonophysics within the Department of Space Geophysics, also funded by FAPESP-SP. From December 2011 to July 2016, he served as an Adjunct Professor in Geodesy and Adjustment for the Cartographic Engineering program at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) in Recife, PE. Since 2016, he has been a faculty member in the field of Geodesy at the Military Institute of Engineering (IME) - Department of Cartographic Engineering Education, Rio de Janeiro, RJ, where he is currently a permanent member of the Graduate Program in Defense Engineering (PGED) and the Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering (PGEE) at IME. From October 2022 to December 2024, he served as a full-time professor (RDIDP) at the FCT/UNESP - SP, where he is a collaborating professor in PPGCC, returning to IME-RJ in January 2025. He has been serving as an Associate Editor for Geodesy at the Boletim de Ciências Geodésicas (BCG) of the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) since 2015 and as a reviewer for various national and international journals. Currently, he is a member of the Joint Working Group of the IAG-ICCC (IAG Inter-Commission Committee on Geodesy for Climate Research), focusing on Quality control methods for climate applications of geodetic tropospheric parameters (https://iccc.iag-aig.org/joint-work-groups/ICCC-JWGC7). He has experience in the field of Geosciences, with an emphasis on Space Geodesy, working mainly on the following topics: GNSS data processing; Geodetic Reference Systems and Geodetic Networks; Modeling of Ionospheric and Tropospheric Effects on GNSS signals; Real-Time GNSS Positioning; GNSS Time Series Processing; Satellite Orbit Determination and Clock Corrections; and Geodetic Monitoring of Structures and Geodynamics.
