Graduated in Medicine (1973) and residing in Clinical Medicine (1975) at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Masters in Biochemistry and Immunology (1983) by the Institute of Biology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, PhD in Physiology and Biophysics (1991) by the Institute of Biological Sciences, University of São Paulo and Duke University (Durham, USA), post-doctorate by Stanford University (1995, Palo Alto, USA), Institut Nationale de la Santé and Recherche Médicale, Université Paris (2002 , Paris, France). She is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the State University of Campinas, specialist in Clinical Pathology and Clinical Medicine. She's the founder and current manageress of Lipid Laboratory of the Experimental Medicine Center, and of the Dyslipidemia Clinic, having coordinated it since its beginning up to 2017, as well as the Clinical Biochemistry Section of the Clinical Pathology Division of Unicmap's Clinics Hospital. She has experience in Clinical Biochemistry, working specifically in lipid and plasma lipoprotein metabolism, biological rhythms, clinical and molecular bases of primary and secondary dyslipidemias and atherosclerosis. Coordinates multidisciplinary research projects involving human health, with an emphasis on cardiovascular health and climate change. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
