Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Química (IQ)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (2006) and holds a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the Department of Fundamental Chemistry at the University of São Paulo (2012), where he studied the synthesis and structural and spectroscopic properties of persistent luminescent materials, based on thermoluminescence techniques and synchrotron radiation spectroscopy in the vacuum UV and hard X-ray regions. He worked as a Senior Researcher in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Turku, Finland, in 2012 and 2013. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo, where he works with photonic materials for light conversion and storage. His research interests include the study of new luminescent materials and the development of luminescence mechanisms for inorganic materials and their various applications.
