I have a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Fortaleza (2015) and a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the State University of Campinas, in partnership with the National Laboratory of Biosciences (LNBio), at the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), with emphasis in discovery of compounds that inhibit glutaminase C. I am currently working as a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University working with DNA repair mechanisms by homologous recombination. I was a researcher at the Laboratory of Molecular and Developmental Biology (LBMD) with a CNPq Scientific Initiation grant (2011-2012) focused on cytotoxicology analysis of compounds in breast cancer. I was also an exchange student in the Science without Borders program (2013), with a summer internship at the company Assurex Health, focused on pharmacogenomics. Acted as a volunteer researcher in the multidisciplinary care of patients with Fibromyalgia Syndrome (2010-2011). Have experience in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology and Pharmacogenomics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
