Diogo Silva Pellosi currently serves as an associate professor at the Department of Physical Chemistry at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). He is also a visiting professor at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and an associate researcher at the National Institute of Technology in Organic Electronics (INCT - INEO) as well as the Center of Innovation in Materials at the Brazilian Industrial Research and Innovation Company (Embrapii). Diogo holds a degree and PhD in chemistry from the State University of Maringá (UEM/PR) and completed a postdoctoral program at the chemistry department of the University of São Paulo (USP). His research interests include:- Development of metallic nanoparticles (silver, copper, and hybrids with metallic oxides) for use as photocatalysts activated by visible light, probes for SERS spectroscopy, and self-cleaning antibacterial materials.- Recovery of industrial waste and production of nanomaterials from metallic oxides and nanoparticles.- Development of intelligent polymeric nanoparticles (targeting and theranostic) for the selective delivery of photopharmaceuticals and photodynamic therapy.
