Dr. Canuto is mechanical engineer. He holds Master (2008), Ph.D (2013) and post doctorate (2015) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (EPUSP). As engineer, Dr. Canuto has ten years experience in design of automotive manufacturing systems (1999-2009). All of his experience was developed at Manufacturing Engineering Department from Volkswagen do Brazil. From 2009 to 2010 he also was a manager in the Body Shop Department, being responsible for manufacture of the main models produced at Volkswagen in Brazil. Since 2013 he is a collaborator of Automotive Engineer Center from EPUSP and in 2015 started to integrate the staff of professors at Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC). Currently he teaches in engineering management course and in engineering of instrumentation, automation and robotic course. His mains interests in research are: product and manufacturing design, CAD/CAE systems and artificial intelligence applied into automotive manufacturing systems. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
